To all our patients and friends,
West End Dental has returned to normal operations, but continues to take all necessary precautions in this COVID era.
​
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe--all recommended by the CDC, OSHA, and the ADA.
For example:
-- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. Remember to inform us if you or anyone you're in close contact with has exhibited signs of sickness in the last two weeks. This may impact how soon we can schedule you.
-- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
--We will also ask you to rinse with antimicrobial mouthwash before your dental appointment. Don't worry, it tastes great! (Breath Rx by Philips Sonicare)
--You may see that, for the time being, our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, books, and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. There are some brochures and business cards. If you take one, please keep it or dispose of it in the trash can.
--If you've been here before you know that we are a small office that usually sees one patient at a time. That being said, appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. There will be more time between appointments, thus possibly less appointments available in a day. Please reserve ahead of time to get the time that's best for you.

Dr. Eliot Guerin
...is a lifelong resident of New Orleans and graduate of LSU/Baton Rouge and LSU School of Dentistry (and a huge Saints and Tiger fan!). He has practiced dentistry in Gretna, Slidell, and Shreveport, but has finally achieved his goal of practicing at home in Lakeview where he's wanted to be since returning after Hurricane Katrina. He has pursued over 2000 hours of continuing dental education to provide you with the greatest care possible, and is the 2017 Chairman of the New Orleans/Louisiana Dental Conference. He was recently honored with induction into the International College of Dentists for his community service involvement and efforts to advance dental knowledge.
Dr. Guerin has been married to Grace for over 25 years and has two sons--Eliot is a civil engineer and jazz pianist, while Justin is a finance major and Sigma Chi at the University of Alabama.
